Archery is an extremely old sport that has been passed down for generations. Even though it is not used as much as it used to be, this weapon has shaped history and the way the world is today. For example, Egyptians in approximately 2800 B.C. created the first composite bows, which were strong but small "C" shaped bows, and they became skilled archers and feared in battles.

Also, much of the fact that the ancient Roman Empire's army was so superior to the world was due to their talented archers. Later on, archery was still used as a hunting method, but it was also practiced as a sport in Great Britain. England is the home of the oldest known archery tournament still held to this day, the Ancient Scorton Arrow, founded in Yorkshire in 1673.
